COMPRESSOR FUEL GAS CONDITIONING UNITS

Modern lean burn gas fueled engines are sensitive to the gas heating valve. High BTU gas can quickly damage major engine components and dramatically increase maintenance cost. A fuel conditioning unit separates and removes the propane & "heavy" hydrocarbons and provides a "lean" low BTU fuel stream. The pressure drop of the fuel gas from pipeline pressure to engine supply provides the necessary refrigeration so that no moving parts are typically required. A variety of standard configuration and sizes are available to meet most applications.

CARBON FILTRATION SYSTEMS

Dickson & Tryer's bulk bed Carbon Filtration Systems are used for purification of amine, glycol, and water. Activated carbon filtration is widely utilized to remove trace hydrocarbons, products of decomposition and other contaminants which can cause operational problems such as foaming. We offer carbon filter vessels or skid mounted systems featuring:

Pre and Post Mechanical filtration                Pre-piped
Block and bypass Piping                                Skid mounted
         Backwash/drain headers                                Hydraulic loading/unloading
Loading platforms w/ladders & handrails     Relief Valves

The use of Vee Grid Wedge Wire bed supports eliminate the requirement for gravel, anthracite, or ceramic ball support media. This is a critical point when spent carbon is to be recycled.

Hydraulic Loading/Hydraulic Unloading

On larger carbon filters, we can provide bed design and connections for hydraulic loading and unloading. The system is much easier and cleaner than conventional filling and dumping operations. Therefore this system is heavily preferred by operating personnel.

ADSORPTION UNITS

During the past several years Dickson & Tryer has designed and fabricated 16 skid mounted adsorption units. These units have been used in a variety of services. Listed below are services that these units have been used in:

  1. Two (2) units have been used for natural gas dehydration using mol sieve. Sizes were 18-22 MMSCFD.

  2. Nine (9) units have been used for dehydrating air, oxygen, or nitrogen using mol sieve and activated alumina. Size ranges were 12-90 MMSCFD.

  3. Five (5) units have been in a carbon dioxide service acting as dehydrators or desulfurizers. One unit was used to remove CO2 from Helium.

All units were completely skid mounted and include the necessary pressurization, depressurization, and vent valves. Also included was the required equipment for bed regeneration.

VESSEL FABRICATION

Dickson & Tryer is a manufacturer of many different types of pressure vessels. The company has both the "U" and "S" stamps. Vessels are ASME code designed and stamped. All code vessels are registered with the National Board. We manufacture two and three phase separators, amine and glycol contactors, fractionation towers, amine and glycol filters, and compressor suction and discharge bottles.

As with the other equipment lines, we have fabricated pressure vessels for a broad range of clients and specifications. We have extensive experience with client specified requirements such as NACE and HIC resistant materials.

Our capabilities and experience make us a good choice for your pressure vessel requirements.
